You are the best thing

This is a day full of things I need to take care of. So wish me luck.
I'm quite intrigued about my readers, who are you all? I'm glad that you
are clicking by to see what we are up to. Don't be shy to comment! It
would be fun knowing you and what you'd like to read more about!

Hugs!

The outdoor type

Winters love

Overall - Polarn o Pyret

I've made a new playlist for this week now, you'll find it here.

We've had the most perfect day outside. It's a wonderful luxury
having this much family time together. A is sleeping now and I've
just made some fruit desserts for her and two apple pies for us.

Time for coffee and dessert,
lovely afternoon to you too.

Rivers of love

Monamici, I love!

I found a skirt and belt for myself at the second hand store and
F found two light holders made by cast-iron. Haven't had time to take
any shoots. But I'm planning to wear the skirt as soon as I've
washed it.

There's a beutiful winter day outside so we just have to go out,
fill the thermos with coffee and clothe A roundly. The meeting is at
thursday, don't know why I thought it was today. But that's okay
and now I have a few more days to prepare as well.

I'll share the playlist for this week when we get back home.

Have a nice day!

Patterns

TopShop - Spring collection

Speakig of patterns. Had to make a quick post, I just fell over Topshops'
spring collection.

Just my taste and what I'd like to wear this spring. Yum!

Flowers in the morning

Blouse - Sisters, watch - TISSOT. Cardigan and shawl is second hand.

I was longing for mixed prints when I woke up this morning.
The fashion during the 80's and 90's was so experimenting but
I hate how lots of the clothes from back then fits, not that
flattering I must say. Like the balloon-pants that everyone put
on their kids back then. It's almost scary how ugly they were.

Otherwise we've a lot to learn from those centuries. To dare!
Bye bye winter and black & white and hello springtime, pastels
and mixed patterns. Looking forward to it! To force my self out
of the black clothes I almost always put on.

We did, by the way, find some goodies at the shopping trip
yesterday and I also have an upcoming (very exciting) meeting,

share you later!

More than words

Cups with printed typography by Arne Jacobsen, designed by Designletters.
Pic' from Designletters via Sara vill fara.
REMAKE, designed by Emelie Ackerman. Stockholm Stadsmission

I LOVE prints. Especially simple ones like these. Perhaps we can find a place
for the cups from Designletters in our cupboards now. A.J is just one of the
greatest architects/designers ever.

I'm not feeling that well tonight. I should have been down town by now,
celebrating a friend. but I have such a stomach-ache and feel off coloured.
To bad, I had really been looking forward to this girls night out.

Have a fun night you all,
and thanks for looking by!

Saeglópur

My outfit today. Blouse - Lindex, cardigan - COS, belt - second hand.

We are going out for some second hand shopping and a fika, as we
say in Sweden. Me and my mum are exploring some ideas for a possible
project together. There's a lot cooking right now and I like it.

Äppelöga

Gwen Stefani

I'd love to wear a looong black trench like Gwens' this spring!

The worrying kind

My former teacher Hans Lif exhibit his collection "Covers" at Fridhemsplan.
A cuddles in her wagon sack from 7.am.

Today something that never should happen, did. My baby girl fell
out of her wagon, I hadn't heard from F during the whole day and
was rushing home to see if anything had happened to him. I feel so
terrible and have a huge somach-ache. It feels like it's my fault for
worrying about F instead of having my full attention directed at A.
I blame some of it on my bad genes, of the worrying kind.

She got a scratch mark at her chin but otherwise she's fine. My
lovely little girl, I don't want anything bad happening to you, ever!
Not even a scratch. She really loved the bath time though, my sweet
love! The thing was that I had manage to take F's mobile with me
and therefore he couldn't be reached. So stupid.

I hate days like this, fortunately my whole family's here now
and we've enjoyed a three course dinner and had a fun evening.
As a consolation for earlier today.

Have a nice Friday night!

Fruit tree

Todays'. Blouse - Sisters

I am longing for summertime and sand between my toes. So today me
and A will meet up with some friends at Kungsholmen and have a swell
bathtime, but in a swimming pool inside of course!

To the steadliness

Here's some glimpses of our home.

I've searched for some potential publishers today and drew a few more pages
for the book. Feels good to actually get some where in the process.

I just talked to Nancy who is working on the new clothing line I've told you
about. She said that she wants me to play a bigger part than we've talked about.
The plan was that I'd help her out with the business plan and upstart. No further
than that. But now, I have to decide whether or not to put my heart into
this business. Perhaps become a partner. That's a big thing.

I feel so honoured and so excited. Aah! What to do, what to do...

Sleep tight, I know I won't.

I'm good, I'm gone

I just had to make this quick post. When looking for inspiration
I came across a lovely blog by Lotta Agaton which you can find here. She
posted this pic' from Anoukb Inrerior. Among other beutiful pictures.
So inspiring!

The world keeps turning

Today I'm wearing this dress, love it!

Workning and eating lenten buns, I'll share my progress with you later on today.

Have a nice afternoon.

Welcome to the jungle

Todays'. Tights and tee - Gina Tricot, letters - Panduro,
cardigans' and bracelet - second hand.

I got stuck in the household today. We started to clean up the bedroom then
washed and folded some clothes. We've had our hands full with A (our daughter)
aswell, she's kind of (read VERY) kranky because she's not allowed to suckle at
daytime any more. Poor thing. I have a hard time giving it up too but
hopefully she's not our last baby.

All this got in the way for the things I'd planned to do. But that's okay,
some days are just less productive than others. There's one thing I accomplished
today though. I've signed up for a course in gesture drawing. Yeey!

Now I'll continue the crochet that I started to work on yesterday. It's a pair
of slippers for our lovely friends little baby who's expected any day now.

See you!

Hymn for her

She's just so perfect. Flawless. The most wounderful, ever.
Objective mother(?)

It feels great to have cleaned out every little kitchen corner and
started up fresh. There's just one thing though. I have a real challange
figuring out what to put into ALL the empty baby food jars that's left.

I was thinking about making fruit desserts, I've made a dessert with
bananas and plums before, which was popular. But new recipies are more
than welcome in this case, and plenty of them as well!

This is a day full of surprises. I'll share some of it with you later.
Until then,

have a fab day!

Here's to the future

Todays outfit. Coat - H&M (on sale), watch - Casio, scarf - vintage.

We've been at the grocery store this evening and, believe it or not, just
started to deal with the cupboards. I believe that we're probably one of the
best teams ever. He's kind of great, my love!

Concerning the UFO

Today we've been on a play date with F, one of our daughters' best budds.
F's mum Anna served a really tasty pie for lunch and taught me how to crochet.
Thanks!

Sudden rush

Tee - Weekday, brow colour - Make up Store

I've had a great day with my family. Our girl has been sleeping for quite
a while now and we'll go to bed soon too. I just got this huge craving to look at
houses that's for sale. Cuddle on the couch and fantasise about our future home.

Tomorrow I intend to by myself a weekly-planner and to keep on
brooding about the end of my book.

Sleep tight.

Winter is all over you

The only pink ones in the closet. Hat - H&M, wool body - Care

A day like today we feel like playing in the snow. There's a true
winterworld outside and our little one got a toboggan for christmas which is
up for its' inauguration.

We have found the perfect underwear at the shop barngrottan.se, it's
made of 100% merino wool and is useful while playing inside as well as the
first layer of outerwear when we go outside. It's just the perfect garment!

The sword and the pen

Todays'. Tee - frk, cardigan - COS, necklace - a christmas gift from my sister,
LOVE it and her!

I've been fighting with the end of my story for hours now and I just don't
seem to get it spot on. It's probably one of those things that need time to fall
into place. But I'm impatient as usual and wants to proceed right away.

You see, I've always been like this. Kind of restless. But during this very
last year I've actually started to accept two facts: Some things just has to take
some time and others may not turn out exactly as I've imagined. Or both
but that's life and I have to deal with it to develop!

Have a nice week-end.

The best habit for a fresh start to the next:
I make the bed, take a shower and shave my legs. Just love crawling into bed
with legs like silk and the smell of fresh laundrey.

Human behaviour

Ceramist: Mia Blanche. Photographer: Lena Granefelt

This wounderful porcelain is made by Mia Blanche. I would love to have
some of her georgeous ceramic creations in my future house. But right now
our cupboards are jam-packed with all kinds of oddments. I believe it's
a rather typical human behaviour, or perhaps swedish.

Why are we so afraid of getting rid of things that we neither use nor
like that much? The destiny of that poor little single cup always standing
in the cupboard should be kind of obvious.

Food chain

Ingredients:
3 eggs
2 cups cottage cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 small pinch of salt.

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the wet ingredients and mix them
until they combine. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and put butter into it.
When the butter's quiet, pour batter for four pancakes into the pan.

Allow the batter to cook for several minutes until the pancakes are golden bown,
carefully flip them over and do the same thing on the second side. Repeat until
everyone is rubbing their bellies and suggests a nap.

Paint's peeling

The left-overs of the Pavlova I made for thursday was perfect as night snack
yesterday. Today I came across my old art folder and just had to look into it. I
miss the wounderful world of oil painting. When you kind of give up everyting
around you and all focus is directed on to your brush holding hand
and the canvas.

I may show you some of my old works later on. Now we'll have cottage cheese
platelets for (late) lunch served with goat cheese and honey. Yummy!

Have a nice saturday evening.

Made of

Outfit. Dress - Samsoe & Samsoe, necklace - Lindex, lipstick - Pink Punch.
Night out with sis'.

Build a bridge and jump off it

I am a typical perfectionist and I really hate this. With this I mean showing
things I've made and especially smear drawings like these which aren't even close
to being done. It's truly difficult but I really believe it's good for me too.
Not to take everything (myself) so damn sirious and to show my flaws.

I am going to finish this book mostly for my ego but also for the
three to five-year-olds that wants to read it. I really have to buy better papers
to use for the final outlines. But that's still far from where I am now.
Next one up is to make up a proper ending for the story.

Over and out.

Children of the revolution

http://popupshop.net/kids-clothes

I just love love love children's wear that are unisex. These basic clothes from
Popupshop are just my taste, lovely shapes and colours!

On top of the great design all their clothes are made of organic fabrics and they
have a vision of being an affordable and natural choice for modern basics. As well
as making fair products for both customers and the people involved in producing
their clothes. I think that our little girl would enjoy playing in their onepiece.
Januari is kind of a poor month for us but I'd love for her to have one of those.
We'll see about that.
I'll post the other pic's (I've promised to show you) later. Now I have to prep a
meringue for the Pavlova that we'll have for dessert later.

Have a nice one!

20120118

Après Moi

Yesterdays' outfit. Cardigan - H&M, tee - Filippa K, belt - COS,
jeans - Cheap Monday, necklace - the tower used to hang on a key chain.
I bought it when visiting "La Tour Eiffel".

Fidelity

Cream cheese bagels. Yum!

Yesterdays meeting went well and I have a good feeling about this project.
Today I'm at home with my daughter and we'll just have a fun couple of hours
until "daddy" gets home from his meeting. Then we've planned to go shop
groceries for this week and after that (when the little one is asleep) I'll
continue working on my childrens book, which is one of my other tasks for
this year. I will show you some glints of the sketches tomorrow.

Have a lovely day

20120116

Bite the bullet

My outfit today is mostly second hand.
Glasses - Ray Ban, shoes - Nilson, fake fur - H&M

I've already told you I've made plans for tomorrow. I'm going to meet a friend for lunch
to discuss a project that we'll work on. She has great plans regarding a new clothing line
and asked me to help her.

It will probably be a lot of hard work during this spring but I love the idea of being
a part of her dream and help her to develop it into something bigger than just ideas
on a paper. We'll see how far it goes but it all begins tomorrow, starting with
the business idea.

So long

20120114

Sunday morning

Breakfast at my parents house and then we'll go home again.
I have two workingdays a head and the rest of my week I'll devote
to a rather exciting project.

I will tell you some about it tomorrow
but it's kind of a secret so I can't tell you everything.
What are your plans for next week?

Enjoy your sunday.

On the road again'

I took these pics' on the road to my parents who live two hours away. I just
love going there and especially the car trip, which gives me time to think.
Brood about things that I want to do but haven't had time for or, more likely,
put my back into. A few days ago my friend Nancy said that it's not as much
the goal as the road there that's important. Very thoughtful I must say.

I have hopes and dreams as everyone else I know but this year I dare myself
to actually do something about them. This blog is meant to inspire you but
mostly myself to cope with all the challenges that I hope this year will
bring. So I'd love it if you'd like to follow me here and observe my makes
and mistakes. Feel free to pep talk, make suggestions or criticize.

Have a nice Saturday!
